OK guys you really help out on the last one but on another car we are getting 79-stuck hall button faults. We have innovation buttons and every button works and we will throw the faul every 5 minutes and the cars (3 bank) just sit there and do not chase any calls???? any suggestions?
Just one set of buttons at each floor for the bank of 3? Only one elevator is reporting the 0079 fault ? Is it at a terminal floor top or bottom? Usually if the button is ok or even if you change it and it still stays stuck you generally have a bad HAS board. But I don't know if those report back to the HAS being that their innovation.
just a thought. Is it possible that one of the cars is not opening it's doors in response to a landing call, causing the hall button to stay on and throw a 79 error?
Yes only one car throwing the 79 fault and we get the fault every 5 minutes no matter where that car is in the building. And no buttons are stuck as all buttons work fine. ???
One way to find this is as follows......turn off all of the cars, power up one car and see where it goes. It should go to the floor with the stuck button. The only problem is this, getting the owner to let you do it and keeping the public from getting in the way. I had a duplex doing the same thing. 12 floors of a parking garage. By doing this method I was able to find 6 buttons that had one of the contacts defective. The innovation buttons have a little spring inside of the black plastic contact that will break and occasionally make the contact but not roll off of it. Another way it to go to each hall fixture and physically checking each button.
Innovation buttons...the ones with the pc type card with the two micro switches on them? If so, this button has dogged me for quite some time. One of the micro switches will fail with the pud sunk in making up the button call input. Gently tapping the button will generate a call and it'll stay made up. Maybe a car button giving you grief if only one car is faulting? I know you said "any floor", but... Just my thoughts. I think BRG and I are talking the same thing.
Ahh,,,rings a bell now ,,,microswitches in these types are prone to sticking either way,,you do get special spray to free them off,,,but replace them,,easiest,,
