I am trying to use a D3000 interface board on a GAL MOD operator. The instructions say to remove all of the resistors from the motor and to use the cam contacts in the music box for speed control of the operator. I have done all of that and played with the controls a little bit to adjust the operation of the door. I just can't seem to get the D3000 board to control the motor like I want. The instructions say to keep the field voltage around 70v standing and 110v run. Is this enough for a 230v motor? Am I required to swap to a 115v motor for the door operator? I have already burnt up one D3000 board (possibly bc I had the field voltage to high), so I am apprehensive about cranking it up much higher than they say.......any advice? I have to doors decent now, but we just modernized the elevator and I want it to be better than decent. Thanks!
