Can anyone tell me which resistors adjust hi speed open and close? I have included a print.

Thanks

RR4 is open

RR3 is close

sorry jkh RR2 controls open hi speed. look closely O2 closes and thru the already closed 03, this circuit jumps out rr4 for hi speed. notice the OHS nomenclature next to 02 contact. then when 03 opens, rr4 will be reinserted for lower speed, and then the closing of other slowdown contacts will shunt current from armature for smooth slowdown

Maybe I am reading this wrong. Is the print for the open circuit showing us a two step function for open speed?

1) RR2 is the first or lower accelerating speed when the door first opens.
2) O2 contact closes about an inch at the beginning of open. Which is jumping RR4 out allowing the door to travel at high speed.

Thank Vator for putting me back on track...

Chris asked which resistor controls high speed. Vator corrected me with the RR2. RR2 controls the overall speed for opening. RR4 adds resistance to limit the speed when the door starts to open...

Now you know why I carry pencils not pens!

Thanks guys, I was correct on the close, but I wasn't to sure about the open. This car is in a seminary building and the previous service company has the doors (front and rear) set way to fast for the elderly customers that use it. Thanks again for the help!!!

I'm having a problem, the door will close and will stop 3" away from slam post. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks

Vator,

Best bet is to start a new topic thread including what it is you’re working on and any relevant info. The thread you jumped on is four years old.
