I'm working on a DMC. Car doors are cycling closed about 6" and then reopening then closing 6" at floor. It looks like previous company put a new upgraded door board for the HD85. When operator does this WD1 and WD2 flicker at the same time doors bounce back and forth? No door errors but a few errors occur on the CLC. Door operates normal on test. I'm thinking they installed wrong level board as a replacement? Looks like the direction I'm headed? Can you shed some light?

Should have a 6300py4 . Capacitor installed in the controller on p150 and g150. Make sure all the connector are on right and motor leads tight. Check belt tension. Check encoder wheel is tight. It cycles to learn the door travel. Slow the door speeds to see if it learns( i forget what the fast tool adjustments are) . If not, then possible bad board or even the wrong board. Oh check ur limits too

Have you watched your SE input when this reopen occurs?

I have looked at SE input. It is stable when doors just reopen on themselves. I had car running with doors working normally. Seemed every couple of minutes doors would fully open then close by themselves? I was looking into inputs when car open doors fully and then started to close an bit then reopen and continued to do this until I stop it with inspection. While watching car door board on top of elevator WD1 and WD2 would pulse on and off when this happens. This DMC has no selector just switches in the hatch if that would make any difference? I will check those other ideas Thanks!

Maybe high speed clamp is too low?

Or make sure 12v from power supply isn't dipping.
Definitely check that cap is on P150 and good for a PY board

Well, After a moment of though I realized I never did a door scan. I had to change parameters on doors to allow scan and it wouldn't get a reading, no working number? I then found a blown pico fuse on a brand new sealed board. Replaced fuse and car is now back in service. Thanks for the help! I also found 24 VDC at 16.25 with about 8 VAC riding on it. Loose capacitor connection!

Do you mean 3/4" for the close limit? That seems way loose for TK/Dover, we typically set up the limits just before the stop, like less than 1/8". Especially on PA boards you will get that slam at the very end of travel with early limits.

I believe the dover recommended setting is gate switch 3/4 of an inch from close it makes, then when the door is about an 1/8 from close break the limit or see it high on the later boards , I think its also nice to see after the limit is broke to be able to have a 1/4 turn left on the operator sheave---

Thanks, just wanted to clarify. I have seen DCL set that far out. Seems like some guys that have worked on a lot of GAL will see door faults and move the limit way early without doing a scan.

If you move a TK/Dover limit, please do a door scan!
