I have a Dover T4 with a dover door operator 1999 vintage and a Janis edge.
The door will close and then open 6 times. The 6th time the doors stay closed and the car will take off to the next floor and do the same thing. The Janis pana40 safety edge power supply edge has been replaced. It did not help.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it?

Does the photo eye input go high? Certainly could be an edge or cord. If it doesn't, does the close limit come on before the doors reopen? Door locks and Gate? Remember these inputs go to PMI modules so check these inputs with a meter and compare to what the computer is seeing with the video monitor or IMS.

Pana 40 units generally have a led on the transmitter side to indicate wether the unit is tripped or not. If it isn't then you need to check the door open/close circuits. Power supplies generally don't fail in my experience, and leads and sticks are the culprits.

You can use IMS to view inputs/Outputs on a T4. Very helpful.

Tkanks for the help.
It was a broken wire in the traveler for the door open limit.
