Hi all,
I have this old Kone controller with a GE fanuc 90-30 PLC and the rest all relays. ACS 150 is the only marking on it. Someone has previously setup the PLC to lockout one of the floors at a certain time each night. Anyone know if there was a service tool for programming for this one?

Appreciate your time.

Hi NY Guy,
I suppose once that is a PLC from GE, it works like an OMROM PLC.
I mean, you need a computer, software from GE and a RS422 Cable to connect to your PLC.
Then you can change all logical outputs including, that one you said it causing issues.
So I think there isn't any service tool or test tool for connect to GE'S PLC.
I hope have helped.
Cheers

Thanks Nelson,
I figured I would need that program just wasn't sure if KONE made their own tool to interact with the PLC.

Enjoy the weekend

PM me an email address and who you work for. I have info on this PLC system. You do need software and a RS232 adapter. There is a hand held adapter which can be used for certain functions. Be very very careful using a hand held unit. Many people have lost the programs in these units with hand helds. DO back up the program or you will end up with a useless controller as the program is stored in ram which is on the backplane. The battery is located in the Power Supply. You unplug the power supply and the battery is disconnected from the ram and program is lost. I have programmed many of these units for KONE. I seriously doubt someone locked the floor out in program. Check for external clock somewhere. Maybe even be in a remote Location.

Hi Rolly,
I have heard the horror stories, especially with the battery on most PLC's. I do have the hand held for it but not the program to back it up. This car is at St. Johns university in Queens NY. we are probably gonna try to backup the program which is a great recommendation by yourself. As always, thanks for any help all!!!
