Getting Delta off fault on GAL. Been troubleshooting with tech support and still no luck. Has anyone experienced this Delta off fault and a fix?

Hi Sammy,

Check this:
- The Delta contact did not make on a Y-Delya starter.
- The MC contact did not make on an across-the-line starter.
- The "at speed" contact did not make on an electronic soft-starter.
- Faulty DEL input. Replace the DEL input chip.

Hope have helped.

Ya it's across the line and the MC contactor isn't picking because the run contactor isn't sending the 110vac feed from S10 through MCA output chip. I've replaced output chips and input chips and even swapped the entire board. Tech support is telling me to change the run contactor although we energized the coil and it's still not receiving a feed from MCA output to feed N.O. 13/14 On the run contactor. The inputs runi runa mcci are all changing briefly from 0 to 1 however mcai isn't changing at all. Stumped.

Do you have a thermal overload?

Can you see the MCA output change from 0 to 1? If so, can you pull the field wire from MCA where the thermal overload is or would be to see if MCAI goes high?

Sammy,

What kind of softstarter do you have?

if sprecher are you getting any faults through the LED on the face of softstarter?

This fault comes up if you disconnect your motor and try to run the elevator.

Softstarter and controller can tell that no power is going to motor and faults out

It's across the line start. I do not believe there is a thermal overload. I don't see anything on the print. Only thing in that circuit is a MOv12 suppressor. Where would this thermal overload be?

The thermal overload is typically mounted either on the submersible motor itself or very close by under the oil in the tank. It would be fairly easy to trace back if you separate your valve coil wires and float switch(if equipped) going into your tank.

Gotcha. This is a traction.

Anyways good news. Problem was Y-delta time in car timers. It reverted somehow to a 0 and needs to be set to a 1.5. No idea how it changed on its own.

Thanks for all the ideas.
