Would it be nice if you called motion and they answered and sent you right to a tech like they used to, 20 years ago, yes, yes it would. The reality is that no longer happens. Like IDWT mentions, if you leave a call back number, you probably won't get a call any time soon, most likely at the end of the day or next morning. You have to be patient, just be prepared to wait them out, if they have not answered after an hour, then more then likely they are overwhelmed with calls. One thing I have noticed, after many years of trouble shooting, is that many mechanics that call motion can be fairly rude with the tech once they are connected. I constantly remind them that they are asking them for help, you have to be cordial, if not overly cordial. To many times the interaction starts with "why did i have to wait so long, This is why we don't use motion control on any new contracts , or some other complaint that only serves to aggravate the tech on the other end. If you treat them with respect, you will be better served. another tip, while you are waiting on hold, try to gather as much info as you can regarding your problem. maybe write yourself a few notes, as to what you see, and be prepared to have a notepad ready when they do help so you can write down some of the info they give you. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you will get a rude tech, maybe he had a bad day, just something to think about
