Wondered if anyone out there has any cat 1 and 5 test procedures they could send me. I just recently switched from mods and construction to mostly doing cat 5 testing but am kind of being left in the dark as far a procedures go. I'm figuring most of them out but it would go a lot smoother with proper procedures for different manufacturers equipment. I'm surprised how little info kone has on this stuff. Im sure they can get it but maybe my office doesn't know the right people to talk to at head office or something.

Having just witnessed a Cat 1 test on a Kone MRL I would say you need to get some manuals. The acending car, and the unintended movement test required the mechanic to refer to a procedural manual. I would say you need one for every manufacturer you encounter.
