I have a CPU that will not boot. The existing is a 6300JC2 with 675EF10 software in U36 and U63. I ordered a new one from VE and it is a 6300JC5. Will this software work in new CPU? The jumpers are completely different; from old to new CPU, any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
No, you need HE16 software. Also make sure you don’t fire it up for the first time with your adjusted U22 chip or you will while it and have to adjust from scratch. It should come with a blank for first boot up, then once your watchdog flashes slow, power down and put in your U22.
The DSP software should be OK, or at least I haven’t had to update it yet. But ya, all cars in the group will need the HE16, but it will work in the old CPUs for the other cars.
