I am having problems with a MCE not taking parameter changes. Could this is caused by building power issues?

Does the car run? If you are getting checksum errors most likely the DDP chip went bad. After a number of years if you try to change a parameter or perform a learn run the chip can go bad.

U15 EEPROM chip I believe. They usually start having issues after 10 years or so.
