Does anyone know the static IP address and subnet mask to communicate through IMS using Ethernet cable?

On older versions of IMS you have to set the address in IMS the same. The newer versions you do not have to set the Address in IMS but you do have to select the Ethernet adapter you’re using in IMS.

Actually pretty cool. You can hook a wireless router up and log in with laptop and go down on the car and adjust.

It is great and with the new IMS that doesn’t have to have the exact IP set you can configure DHCP on the router to limit the range of addresses it assigns to between .3 and .15. Then you can leave your wireless adapter on DHCP. The TP link travel router is the easiest to set up but any one that you can install open WRT on will work. I found a powerline adapter that both nodes are WiFi routers so even on a high rise you can use wireless in the MR and when you go to the car you just plug the other node into the outlet and you have wireless IMS in the car.
