0138 Brake Not Set

Summary: This section describes the Travel Control error Brake Not Set.

After a normal (automatic) trip the brake does not close as expected (status of KB contacts shows open brake) after the 'brake off' command timeout following the 'SB off' command. In this critical situation the inverter remains powered and keeps the car on the floor. The door(s) are closed immediately and remain closed (door open button is disabled). With closed doors the inverter is switched off and the elevator is blocked permanently with fatal error. Before opening the doors manually to release the passengers a check must be done to confirm that the brake applies sufficient mechanical torque to hold the car.

ID
Possible causes of message
Actions to be taken
1
Brake does not close due to mechanical obstruction
Check brake for correct function (sufficient mechanical torque applied to machine)
2
Problem with wiring of KB contacts to control
Check wiring and operation of KB contacts
3
Faulty input circuit for KB contacts (both !)
Check input status of KB contacts. Replace pcb if necessary

Since you said it was just moded, and it’s on the brake drop, has the brake been tore down and pm’ed? The Error also has a time factor that your brake maybe dropping sluggish after running. Also, there was probably a switch mounted to show brake pick as well as brake drop, check that adjustment and operation.
