Wondering if anyone can jump in and help me with a TK LEV chain drive. Mfg date 07/10. Replaced the main board (blue, PN 2900102) after a lightning strike. I can call the car between floors 1 & 2 but it will not travel to floors 3 or 4 when I call via hall stations or the COP. When call buttons are pressed for floors 3 or 4 the led ring does light temporarily but it does not call or cause the gate to close. There are no fault codes and the interlocks are working correctly on all floors (elevator will not move between 1 and 2 if door is open on 3 or 4). Does the board need to be programmed with a tool via for more than 2 floors or does the presence of Hall Station and Door Lock wiring signal the number of available floors? All wiring was put back as original with hall station wiring in jacks 1-4 and interlocks in door jacks 1-4. Also have the Cat5 jumper wire between Door Lock Front jack 5 and Door Lock Rear jack 9 to complete the interlock string.

Controller & drive are all located at the top of the elevator shaft on 4th floor. Accessible via an access panel. Posted a link to a pic of the elevator setup below. Tonight I plan to make replacement cat5 wires to run from the main board to interlocks and call stations on floors 3 and 4 just to eliminate a bad cable.

Even with bypassing interlocks and changing out the call station patch cables, same result. Spoke with an engineer at KEB and based on a description of the issue, pointed back to a logic controller. Ordering a LEV COP board tomorrow to see if that resolves the issue.

COP board replaced. Same result. I think I am done. Will start hunting for someone locally that worked on these things 10 years ago in the Charlotte area.

Board needs to be programmed/configured with PN 2900501 which is the Thyssenkrupp Access LEV Gen2 programmer. Best information I have is that this was done at the factory before the boards were sent out, making them difficult to find and pricey.

I am not sure of this, BUT, I believe that if you have the modem to hook to the LEV unit, you can call into the controller and use IMS to program the parameters. I am speaking out of my butt here. I have a modem that came off a LEV. If you would like to try it, I will sip te modem to you and you can try it. I understand that you can also do a job reset through the modem. My cell is 503 806-4141, if you want to try it.

Kside, did you call American Access https://aaccessis.com/?page_id=293 ? Last I knew they were still providing some support for these.

ABE thanks, and yes I have spoken to folks at American Access and Access2parts. Access is who gave me the part number for the programming device. I think the LEV blue board was maybe less common and more advanced than the green board. The blue board has PLCs with an RJ45 jack labeled "program module." Also has a USB 2.0 port.

Think I will give Johnny a call this week to see if IMS via serial or USB could be an option to enable landings on 3 and 4.

Found the solution. Purchased the Gen2 programmer and, while not inexpensive at $1,600, it took about 2mins to navigate through the menus to enable floors 3 and 4. For anyone who has similar issues with a blue board feel free to reach out. I have skematics, manuals, and the programming tool. kseidehamel@gmail.com

Kside I just moved to the Charlotte area and the guy I had inspect my elevator installed it originally 13 years ago! He was the ONE guy in the area who did Levs and LOVES them. He doesn't work on them just tells you whats wrong and you have to figure it out.

He did point out that on my LED display it says G - 1 - 2 - 3 but my button are 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. He seemed to indicated that I can change this with jumpers but not sure. I called this other elevator guy locally and he's nice - but hates LEVS and really likes to sell the retrofits - which I am not interested in now.

Also I noticed a ticking when one of the doors is open on floor 4. Very strange. Just starting to wrap my head around this thing. If you have any docs I would LOVE to see them!

Thanks,

Neil
