Has anyone ever seen a car switch operated elevator with controls converted to soft starters if so was it in the field engineered or a company package I need to up date a car

We modded a car switch. They had to keep it a car switch, so they didn't have to bring the building up to fire code, with sprinklers etc; We had a company called CJ Anderson make a controller that used SCR technology. The result was better than the original, but not as good as a full Mod.
