Hi all; Looking for some insight on this error, these are things that have been done. Swap 12 pluse drive with another car, tighten all connector/connections, mega ohm motor rigging and communicator to be good, decrease motor field voltage, TP3 @000VDC. Once in a while on IView the armature amp shows 0 but no fuse blows, controller trys 4 time then exssive fault shuts car down. Toggle inspection and car runna for a few hours then repeat.
Try MCE with no results. Any ideas?

I’ve had that serial cable issue as well. Also, have you performed a Drive offsets calibration? This should Zero out the drive. Configuration, Drive, Configuration tab.

Hi and thank you for the suggestion. Had not change the serial cable yet but will be nextweek. All drive offsets has been recalibrate thru the software.
Talking to MCE twice, had no positive results.
NY Guy: do you remember what faults with bad serial cable?

On the older IMC controllers, this fault was either the Serial cable between the drive and the controller or the Current Sensor located on a power board behind the LGA board. that fault was "Insufficient DC Loop Current". On the iBox, they have relabeled the fault. I have replaced at least 3 of these current sensors in the past. they are a 3 pin soldered sensor. I would go over all of your DC motor and field connections first. Try adjusting you Field forcing voltage a little higher, 10 to 20 volts, and see if that helps before going after that sensor. Like Trust said, change out that serial cable. the part number should be in the back of manual under appendices.
Good luck.

Keep talking to MCE, write down names of who your talking to and try getting someone different each time. I have a job of 7 ibox cars, 500 fpm gearless torin machines. Once or twice a month we'd get a call in the morning a car was shut down. It would be in the overhead. I went through them cars with a fine tooth comb. Did everything imaginable. I had called MCE three or four times over the few months I was dealing with this and they had no answers at all. Finally talked to a 5th person at MCE and literally just says "oh yeah that's a known glitch we had. We'll just send you updated software" if only the first few folks woulda known that. We are all human and noone knows everything. Sometimes you just gotta talk to that one guy that actually knows something about your specific problem

Update. Resolved issue by reseeding the square chip on the left behind the toggle switch and replacing the Drive 25pin cable with new cable provided by MCE that has a ground pin/wire.
