350 fpm Otis Wedges Circa 1960 has flat bars that pull up the wedges. We set the safeties with a full load and it crinkled up two of the bars on the opposite sides. Our thoughts are that there is not enough slide. Any other ideas or thoughts?

A17.1 has a table that dictates the stopping distance for type B safeties. Table 2.17.3 says for 350 fpm cars the Min. distance is 10 inches and the max. is 40 inches.
