Have a Smartrise C4 traction duplex. 8 stops. Slave car is currently down awaiting parts & now master won’t take hall calls on the intermediate floors (2-7) but all on floor 1&8. All hall boards show 100% comms, no faults, SRU board display shows normal. Verified all wiring, dip switch settings on hall boards & riser board & SRU board. Waited over 4 hours for SR to call but they never did. Looking for ideas. Thanks

How many risers do you have? Ensure that the riser board is properly connected to the master. Verify the setting of the hall network termination dipswitch. Make sure that only the last hall board's CAN-BUS termination dipswitch is turned on, and the rest are turned off. Use a meter to measure the resistance of the hall network. You should expect a reading of around 60 ohms.

I hope this isn't a software-related issue, my friend. Regrettably, Smartrise has outsourced all of their software development, bug tracking, and fixing to a company in Lebanon. Apparently, they don't have any software engineers here in the US to promptly address these problems.

I hear all software and engineering now is over seas, I called in for support and one of the support guys who had no idea what he was doing ( reading of a manual) told me that if is needs to be re-engineered and or software change it will come from overseas. I am officially done with this company.
