I have a miprom 21 that I keep getting a 60 fault on. I have replaced MSU board card rack and power supply. Problem is intermit and happens twice a day so times 3. Car will come to a floor start to open doors and then closes them before it can full open. It's at this point that I lose the P I and car gets 60 fault. It will reset a few times then goes down with retry error. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you getting any drive errors? Has the brake set? It sounds like the unit doesn't know the correct position. When the fault happens what motion region are you in? Is this an A-series drive? What does the motion excuses screen say? Check screen 3 in motion info. The VcMD, VFB, and VENC should all read fairly close to each other. One last thing, if you have a motion adaptor board, you may want to switch it in. You do have to perform a REINIT DRIVE if you do.

motion region is 100 it is also getting a 25 fault and since this post have changed car top encoder. rewired car top encoder incase of bad traveler. installed new vein sensors and board. changed CPU board changed ribbon cables. The drive is AB 1395 dc. old school stuff. here's a little more since that I have learned its happening on 2nd landing doors start to open and then slam shut as it looses DZ or position in hoistway. sometimes it gives the 60 fault and then sometimes 25 then 60. no drive faults to say. when running VcMD,VFB, VENC all very close together.

Any chance the ropes are slipping on the driver? The Miprom has a short deceleration ramp and it doesn’t take much if the ropes have gooped up the driver grooves or the ropes have been recently lubed or maybe the ropes/sheave are shot. 2” to 3” of slip will still set the car floor level, but it’ll log the encoder position fault.

So the motion regions are shown in the error log screen. The 1st digit is the mode, normal is 1, inspection is 2, relevel is 3, search is 4. The 2nd digit is the region the error occurred, it is the accel/decl and starts at 0, peaks at 4, and ends at 0, like a sine wave. The 3rd digit on the screen is, 0 is stop, 1 is up, and 2 is down. One thing you can check is the 12vdc power supply for the position encoder. sometimes they ran wires from the MR down to the cartop for the 12vdc. It is best to pick this voltage up from the Zap board that powers the Readers. The encoder doesn't care where the 12vdc comes from as long as it is steady 12vdc.Prob could use a 12vdc battery just to check.
