I have 2 Swift 5000 elevators that will not access from the hall key if they have been previously switched to car-top inspection. For example, if you turn your key from normal to in-car inspection the hall access key works fine at the terminal landings. However, if you switch to car-top inspection and run down on car-top then back to the top when you come off of car-top inspection the hall access key no longer works. Has anyone had this issue before?

Have you checked you terminal landing position inputs on the crt when the car is returned to a terminal landing. Does it happen at both terminals? not directional, not isolated to either terminal?

It only happens at the top floor on both elevators. After removing it from car-top inspection it will not run by hoistway access key in either direction.

I think the access down limit is actuated by a programmable dpp count relative to the top floor position count. Im wondering if this may be a software problem relating to going past the access limit dpp count and not wanting to run from hoistway key switch because of the count? Have you tried accessing car from hall until it stops, and then mark position on tape, then go down on cartop inspect and return to the mark or a little higher? then try the hoistway key switch. just a thought

Yeah, I have spotted the car above the down access point thinking that maybe the car has to be above it but it still didn't work. I do believe it's a software issue because when you key the switch all the correct signals are delivered to the controller but it's still unresponsive in that sequence. I've been waiting for Swift to call me back on the problem but we keep playing phone tag.
