I have a 330A that keeps getting zapped on about every bad storm and it takes out a board. What is the best surge protection out there to protect an elevator?

a while back we had an issue with lighting strikes, 40 year old building never had an issue the building owners had redid an electrical chase in the building and moved GROUNDS kept smoking all the boards in the duplex. so i would start by have someone check where the elevator is grounded. the fuses "should" protect the other side. they do make a voltage monitor that will check low and high voltage incase you do get a spike or a brown out. i think we got one from grangers, but i can't be sure might have been the local supply house. hope some of this helps? can i ask who is telling you the boards are going bad?

Schindler sells a surge protector. I believe it was engineered and built by them. Must be a money maker... the salesman keeps pushing out the proposals for them.

we are experiencing issues with the stuck inputs on KHU which the software board replacement fixed. And we have also experienced the problem with ETSL2 relay not energizing or even getting voltage to it when all else is ok. Replacing the board fixed that as well

There are many companies which provide adequate surge/lightning protection to the disconnects thereby protecting the equipment I have a customer who has a E411 which whenever there is a power surge..this car gets hit severely always takes out drive and motion control logic..as well as scrambling software parameters..all could be prevented if the customer would protect the building power...
