Anyone know if there is a way to communicate to an Otis controller without using the service tool... Like using Hyperterminal or something similar? Looking to communicate with newer Otis equipment but it is my understanding that GCS controls require a NEW service tool. Anyone have any input on this?

I wish you a lot of luck with that one...the Global System is very much a locked system..very few have limited access to this service tool, unless you are an adjuster or engineer..very different from the past elevonics...
