I have a 2 stop LRV that intermittently shuts down 2" low at the top floor. No one has seen it happen, just happens. I replaced
the valve relays, DZ seems good, i am not very familiar with these so any help on what to look at is appreciated.

I would go over the hoistway switches, magnets, induction switches, Interlocks and gate switch too. Do you have the prints? Do you know if it stops shy of the floor on an up call or is it stopping once it leaves the floor on a down call? Sometimes the induction switches can get stuck open or closed depending NC or NO. Prints should show, and test with meter. Are you resetting the elevator to get it back in service? I would wait until the next failure and dig through the prints especially the safety string. I typically bring our relay tester to jobs like this, that is if you have one. It can save quite a bit of time and frustration.

This may be totally off the wall. Had an Lrv doing similar things. Would run, then not run, stop short of a floor, etc.......found escape hatch switch plug partially unplugged. Should have went there first since ceiling tiles were messed up. Apparently, someone was moving something and needed a little more height for the move.

You might be randomly just tipping the interlock while leveling into the top floor..just feathering..play in the guides...check your slowdown switch limits..verify proper wipe and continuity..loose connections inside the cop where the car microprocessor is have had problems with wiring on the amp plugs provides the signal for slowdowns routing back to the relay board.
last but not least traveling cable problems associated with slowdowns in the up direction..

Thanks for the information, i don't know if its leveling up or leaving down, i have seen it stuck twice same spot 2" low of top floor. Building maintenance keeps resetting it before i get there, and i am having a hard time convincing them to leave it alone so i can see it in the stuck state. I do have the prints, and will look closer at the induction switches. door locks are fine and so are the guides. thanks again for the incite!

Melted marshmellow..It did not take them long to come out with the rubber replacements.usually when I find the car not stopping that is a good place to start..

Check your up leveling inductor ....run the the car to the top floor let the doors close of course.....then manual lower to see if it re levels. It might drop down not relevel then go out of door zone and be lost
