Any ideas will help. Kone KCM831 showing the following fault F _ _ 2 then 0 0 2 6 on the CPU board (main board). Fault code in book says "drive not OK. " Troubleshooting manual states a drive board has reported a fault to the LCE CPU Board. Troubleshooting manual states that thermistor on a drive board is bad.....it says to unplug it. We have both unplugged it AND jumped it, still nothing.

Kone states there are drive faults and asked us to reference the drive fault codes / manual -- we have manual but there is no LCD or display on the drive.

The faults also don't even match the troubleshooting manual faults for this car.

1. Can one access the drive faults on the main board in the controller?
2. Through a sub-menu?
3. Any other ideas?

What drive have you got? The drive doesn't have a display it uses the CPU display if you are not used to it, I wouldn't touch it, 0026 is usually the drive gone, can you get into the menu at all?

Dmhughes -- thanks for the response.
16L drive (or 16DL whatever). It doesn't have the V3FR25 (whatever, many have numbers transposed). WE have all types of elevators on service, but this is the only Kone. But we have taken care of it for years -- put in Adon boards, etc. We have the fault codes book and we are into the CPU menu....but we wondered how to access the drive faults menu. We went through the procedure but it won't let us do anything and we can't clear the 0026 fault. We are afraid the drive is gone, too..........and they don't sell drive components -- you have to buy the whole drive. Thanks so much again for your help and anything else you give us would be great. Is there a sub-menu for the drive? In other words, we have the basic faults book and troubleshooting and the drive faults book and troubleshooting, but we can't access the drive faults in the CPU -- nothing will get past the 0026. It says:
1. Unplug thermistor at XT1 on V3f25. We unplugged it but we don't have this drive
2. for KCM hydro (this is an MRL).
3. RS 100 Unplug connector XM28 on LCEMCU board.
We did all these -- nothing will clear this fault.
THanks again

Dave,
Sorry, I didn't specifically answer your question. We are trying to get into the menu (sub menu) and we are trying to get to the fault codes that begin with 100 ... these are the drive fault codes. OUr guys can get into the sub menus, but can't, for whatever reason, get to the 100s

THanks again

I don't follow you, you can't access faults unless it throws a fault up? What is it you are trying to find, if you go into E on the menu that's where all the faults are logged, it only stores the last 99 so if you go into menu E press select E-1 select it will more than likely come up with 99 followed by the fault 0026 then you can scroll down to 98 and so on, when you are on a specific fault and press select again then you should see sub menu codes. To clear faults press menu until you see E then press select until you see E-1 then up to E-2 press select you should see E-2-0 press up until the 0 changes to 1 then select again that will clear the logger, then you can start seeing the faults as you start to run the lift, hope that's clear enough? I've sent you a PM message.
