77:N is down NTS deceleration switch, according to the manual, this fault will auto recover as fateinc2005 indicates. this indicates you are missing the down nts signal while coming into the bottom floor. I have not worked on this equipment, but i would think it would log the fault and reset, then run in the up direction ok. but i guess if you run up and the down nts switch fails to come back on maybe that would cause you to fault again. it looks like the signal 77:n comes from the Car 61 bar reader, to the 806 lceccbn board, then to the lce 385 drv board, then to the 375 LCE cpu board. to test, compare the voltage on xc11-7 connector on the 375 LCE board which is the 77:U or up nts switch, and the xc11-8 connector on the 375 LCE board which is down switch, if car is in middle of hatch, both of these signals should read 0vdc with respect to ground, I believe, I could be wrong the switches may be open already in which case you would read 24vdc to ground. in any case they should be the same. if you run car down on inspect and pass the switch the voltage should change, compare up and down to check. if down switch is not changing then head to cartop and check switch in same manner.

As it transitions into first floor a fault flashed across screen, pretty sure it is F 1 53. Only does it at bottom term floor.

What other fault codes are you having?
Are you having a F1 0053 or F1 0153 ?
Scroll through the fault menu with the arrows and see what other faults are present.

Sometimes if u get on the cartop n shake car rail to rail n it doesn't move it's a tight spot usally happens after new installs we c those faults or sw is bad. If u put a little slop in it like1/8 to 1/4" it will work.

Just be careful not to give it too much slop. When the proximity switches are set up they have to be 3/8 of an inch away from the magnets. To much play and you might get faults

The accpeted policy is to do an ADON learn run, and a shaft learn run, every 6 months. Also, on a KCM831 hydro, if you adjust the valve, you must do a shaft learn run again, because it records the "S-curve" velocities, even though the valve is only 2-speed.

Do you have the newer ADON board, the one with like 40 leds' on it, with each labeled as to function, and the white relays, -OR-, do you have the older one, with the clear case relays, and very few LEDs? The ADON 1 board is superceded, for good reason, not supported any longer, and the ADON 2 board is much more reliable.

I also have an KCM 831 w/active faults. I can run the car from car top insp. and from controller but when it is keyed back to normal operation it faults out. There is also an led blinking amber stating SPECIAL MODE...

If you adjust the valve you must do a decal learn. On machine room inspection, set the car at the bottom with 30, 77n and 61u lit on the cpu. Go to 5-5 and set it to 1 and turn it to normal. The car will accelerate to full speed and then decelerate to a stop.......it will then go to the top, stop and do the same thing coming down. When the car comes back to the bottom floor, go to 6-20 and 6-21. This will tell you where the cpu is looking to see the slowdown magnets from the terminal floors.

If this distance is not set properly the 153 fault will keep happening. There is a center line on the floor flags that is your reference to the center of the magnet.
