You got me. Sure sounds like you have a digital encoder on it. Did you say what part # board you are using? Is there any AC on the 12vdc from the power supply?

It's the optical encoder that comes with the motor. Is there 2 different types? I only see one on vert express.

The optical one is correct, it's the big black plastic case with 2 switches inside and a notched wheel. There is a small digital encoder for the PA door boards that's 500 cpr. You can get that motor with either encoder on it.

J1 is on for front doors. J2 reverses the hand of the doors, if they run open when you press MDC you change J2. I don't remember what J3 is for but it should be off. J4 is off unless you have an EH board and need more torque.

Are you getting door faults? Like a 309 phasing fault? You must have a 307 if the saved count is more than 1280 counts.
