Does anyone have a repair manual for this machine? Or know if the ring gear can be adjusted on a eccentric like the Dover and Westinghouse machines?

I have one that appears to be mechanically binding. The car will not drift up when the brake is opened. I'm thinking the ring gear has started to settle on the worm gear. I have never been into one of these machines before and I was hoping to get some bearings/gaskets and machine set up instructions before tearing into it. I know Montgomery use to make manuals and parts lists for these machines but I can't seem to find anything and Spares couldn't help the last time I needed older machine info.

Mainshaft bearings going bad and letting gear bottom on worm? Have you removed weight (hung car) to see if bind lessens? I don't think raising the gear is the right approach, It has been in this position for a while.
