I have an ECO 3000 escalator and it is giving me a 83 fault code which refers back to wiring. Checked all wiring and voltages and all checks out. As soon as the unit is keyed on it trips the soft starts and will not move. I can put on construction and manually pick contractors and unit moves so I know it’s not the motor or brakes. Any help would be appreciated

Have you checked the wiring between terminals 63 and 64 on the brake and cpu boards? Do you have a service tool? If so clear all the faults. If not try clearing all the faults manually using the blue and white buttons. This is a brake fault, you may have a bad brake or cpu board also.
That being said, if you have the later 2.0 controller, the 83 is a motor overload fault. the 24vdc is missing on the main board terminal 37.

Thanks john Jay.....We replaced Starter Contactors and it solved the issue. But now we can run up but not down. Still troubleshooting this issue.

Are you pulling in K1 and K14 for Up? And K2 and K14 for down? Do you get a 93 run display for up, and a 94 for down. You may have a welded contactor. The motor should rotate in the proper direction with K1 and K2.
