Hello all,
I'm the System Administrator for an elevator service company.
We've taken on a job that's got a TAC 20, and the technician which we have to work on the unit has always had ThyssenKrupp's IMS software available to him back when he was unionized. The problem is, the IMS software was always set up for him previously in the past at former companies. Well, our company has never had to stand up IMS before so I've been tasked with that.
So far I've been able to crack the encryption, provide an unlimited activation code for the IMS software, get the IMS software to interface with the TAC 20 controller; however, I'm told there should be MANY more options available inside the IMS than what I'm currently able to see.
Our technician speaks of a "service" menu that he remembers being able to read faults from.
So far I can't seem to figure out how to progress any further past what I've uploaded via screenshots.
I'm sure it's something I'm probably neglecting to do in the software, however, I've followed the help files to the best of my ability in order to set up the IMS software, I just still don't know what I'm missing.
Could someone please provide some instruction as to what needs to be done further based upon the screenshots provided in order to progress past the screens showed on IMS and access this "service" menu, and other underlying menus. So far everything seems very read-only.
Thanks very much, I'll answer any and all questions that I can to help y'all help me.
Select or highlight Car 1 with the lightbulb next to it and then up in the tabs in the upper left select service and motion diagnostics, I/O & remote fast.
You did not completely crack the software. I’ve done this, it’s a really simple patch but you only get like owners IMS, no service menu. You need to get back to work on the reversing, you’re not there yet.

Thanks wltr00, should those options appear under the File, Monitor, Traffic, Events, View, Window, Help menus? Or should it appear on the same line as the open icon, save icon, print icon, WK, WS, CP Icons?

Ah ha, I was thinking it might have been something like that.
If that's the case then it probably has something to do with the key level, or the key options available within CryptKey cracking.
Since we've got to make a trip to hook this up to a client's elevator every time to test things out, you wouldn't be willing to share with me the key level/license options required to crack this properly would you?
Or, would the service menu be available upon cracking the IMS with the correct key options? Meaning, once the IMS is cracked properly, would it be required to be connected to a controller in order to see the service menu, or can it be seen from a disconnected state?
I don’t know what has to be done to crack it all the way but I know it can be done. I just tried to figure out how to do it for fun but that’s as far as I could get with only a YouTube education. You do not need to connect to a controller to see if you got it. Just open it up and see if you have a Service menu. Unless you are working on the newest tablet version of IMS, it’s quite a bit different and you would be looking for an Adjustments menu instead of Service.

Okay, I tried a few different combinations and was able to come up with this.
Can anyone let me know if this screenshot properly depicts what the non-owner's version of IMS should look like? I just want to ensure I'm not missing any options.
Thanks, I appreciate that but what I really want is to be able to do it. Maybe it’s the ckinfo file that I’m using. Could I get you to send me a copy of yours?
