Not sure how many of you remember the old days with GAL (Pre to mid 90s) , back when they didn't care about customer service, then Doug Witium (Spelling ?) came on board and they actually became customer orientated. Well I feel like we are back to the old GAL now that Vantage owns them.
Anyway my question is , besides GAL what door operators are independents using?

Ya, Wittur about the only other alternative. They are overloaded also. Courion is worse than GAL now that they are all owned by that investment company. Hollister Whitney has been able to be the same as they were before, crossing my fingers that they do not go downhill.

Don't forget about Fermator. This is who Schindler uses.

At least after the Vantage buyout, GAL began making more safer/modern door operators like the MONXT. I wish they would discontinue those old-style harmonic ones. All other companies have stopped making them. Most other countries, except Canada, have outlawed their use on standard applications. They are just too outdated and don't have all the safety features the European-style ones have. If you want to learn more about why harmonic door operators are bad. Oh, I forgot to mention OLS (GMV). They only make side opening doors, not center.
