Hi,

I am having problems with an MCS220 that after some time(can be minutes, hours and some time days) while is starts to move from any floor it stops like 1 inch higher than the floor.

By searching to fix it I found out that the contactor triggers and drops after 1 second because the LED *BC* is not turning on, if the BC is on while starts moving the lift works properly.

Do you have any ideas what can be ? This is my first otis with problems.

Lift details :
6 pers.
5 floors.

According to

https://www-manoeuvres--ascenseurs-...r_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc

BC is related to Brake Control

I am assuming this is a traction unit, e.g. with an OVF drive, and perhaps an LCB II main control board.

Maybe check the brake circuit contactors and brake lifted contact. It could be that you have a faulty contactor or switch in there somewhere.

If the software doesn't see the brake lifting properly, it's probably going to shut down the elevator rather than attempting to "pull through" the brake which is still dropped. That would explain why the elevator stops 1 inch above the floor.
