Might need some help on this one.

Newer Kone ecospace with adon 2 board...
Call comes in every other week or so. Stuck at the bottom floor with the following faults.
74
170
108
44

So far we have swapped LD sensor with LU. Done shaft learn and adon learn. Problem still persists.

Any input guys?

74-61N is stuck
170-AC voltage failure....seen when disconnect is cycled.
108- speed difference, sub code would really be helpful.
44-doors tried to close too many times

What drive is it?

i have only worked on a few of the kone geared cars, one thing that i found interesting is that if you look at the LCE computer when you are scrolling thru the faults and sub codes, keep an eye on the led"s of the input and outputs of the LCE unit, they will show you the status of the led at the time of the fault, at least this is what i think i saw. maybe you can see 61:n signal still on, just a little input, i have had that fault before, and we swapped lu an ld sensors, and the problem just disappeared . damn elevators anyway

always check menu 5-1 set car sheave to sheave and adjust to 0 70% of most problems come from bad load weighing

It's possible the issue starts with the 170 power loss fault. Check connections in controller (transformer, power supply, etc.). It could be losing a leg of the 3 phase somewhere.

The problem is the 108 fault. Car runs all day long without any weight in the car. Put 50% of the load and the car gets a 108 fault coming into the bottom floor. Load weighing is adjusted properly. If I tune the load weighing down to read less than 50% (43% to be exact). The car will make the bottom floor no problem. But then it gets a 108 fault trying to leave the floor. The other faults listed were symptomatic of the 108 fault. 108 is a motor tachometer fault but car runs flawlessly empty car top to bottom and anywhere in between. Also, I have never seen channel faults on the ADON board so the tach has been ruled out. Load weighing board and drive swapped with no change. Seems like the pattern is hitting a torque or current limit coming into the floor. But why only at the bottom floor with a balanced car? Doesn't make a lot of sense. Aqua dog. Any ideas?

If the fault starts with a 74 then power cycled which gives you the170 fault. The 108 and 44 are a result of the power cycle.
For a fault 74...order a XB46 resistor plug from KONE spares and plug it into yours CCBN.
However if the 108 is first then we need sub fault code to help you. If it is only happening with load at a certain landing...check your rails at that landing.
Also check for a flat spot on your tach wheel.

Are your drive parameters correct for the load or your car? Is the elevator balanced at 50%?

Drive parameters have been verified and car is balanced at 50%. The 74 fault is a result of the 108 fault. Car gets 3 consecutive 108 faults trying to level down into the bottom floor while on 30 and 61N and then throws a 74 fault and shuts down. Tach looks good. Resistor plug is in place at XB46. Already went down that road and definitely not a level sensor problem.

When you say load weighing is adj properly . Did you do both laod weighing adjustments? Empty car and 50%?

yes 0 out offset at mid hatch. Adjust gain for 50 percent at mid hatch.

What are the sub faults of the 108? While viewing the 108 press accept and it will scroll a 4 digit sub fault code...

I wonder if you're slipping traction at the bottom floor. Are the rails tight? There should be a little slop in the rails. About 1mm gap in the shoes to the rails. I would check the counterweight rails at the top and their shoes also.

I don't have any on my route but I've heard keep the rails lubed real good to help this fault away. The drives are weak and if the rails are dry, it stalls in leveling.

Stay safe.

I have had 108 faults caused by loose ground connections and from the shield not connected to ground in the Tach circuit. Something to check easily.
