Gator,
Do you have a HHT tool or prints?
Any blinking LEDs? Which ones?
If you run the car on inspection 1 or 2 Inches above the bottom floor and put it back into auto does it level in?

..check to see if your reader board so working properly ..on inspection you can actually see the LU,LD,DZ inductor lamps lit..you might have to do a hoistway scan with your HHT if your floor counts are too far out...

Check the board mounted to the governor (the DDD board if I remember correctly). When it gets flaky or unresponsive, it can generate problems such as this. Let us know.

Gator,
Glad to hear you have what you need. I'm of the same thought as Len and SEC. Check the teeth in the wheel of the DDD (distance direction detector). If the light from your emitting diode does not reach the photo transistor your pulse is lost. It will more then likely show as a large gap in the count comparison of AVP16 and POS16. Just a heads up there is an 18v battery backup on the DDD board.

Make good choices,

JKH

One final note-these DDD boards were notoriously dodgy. Even after the Epoch 1 upgrades (positive controller pressurization, etc), this board, attached to the governor, would collect carbon dust, spider webs, and dust, resulting in failures. Sometimes, when I took over an Epoch job that someone had given up on, simply air jetting all of the boards (while removed from the controller), and cleaning up the governor assembly, removed 90% of my problems.

One word of warning-DO NOT 'hot swap' Epoch 1 boards. Some controllers you can get away with it on (not that you ever should), but this is definitely NOT one of them. Seen it too many times where someone forgot the power was on while swapping boards and yanked an IO2 or IO6 board troubleshooting a car or hall call. Bad things happen. The SBC boards are a controlled print at Schindler now, due to a lack of replacement components. If you hot swap and damage an SBC board (a really good possibility), Schindler may not provide you with another one (assuming you don't work for them). Rumor was that they were working on a modern replacement, but I never heard if it panned out.

Good luck.

It was the DDD board, when looking at the input KINT for the 1/4" movement pulse, the port never indicated a 1, always 0. changed the DDD board and all is well. Thanks for the info.

SEC Reject is right on the mark. I took over a 3 bank job that was averaging 3 to 5 calls a week with the OEM doing the maintenance. When you pulled the drawer out and looked between the boards with the lights out you could see all kinds of arcing!!! The placement of the MG sets on these units were oviously the work of folks with no feild time. After about a week of blowing out generators, motors, controllers and DDD sensors.Door lock and hoistway clean down. And a vew gallons of paint this job ran for over 9 months call back free. The first call came in when machine room AC went down and the first car dies at 89 degrees and the second will go down at around 94. Luckly we have never found what tempature it takes to shut down the 3rd car. We have had this job for over 10 years now. So keep em clean and cool and they will run for you.
