I recently had to replace a tc-mpi board on the motion 4000 controller. I entered all the mpi board parameters that had been on the old board, including the floor height distances. I placed the car at the bottom landing before installing the new board, however after replacing the board, and turning the unit on, the car ran into the bottom final. I checked the actual position on the f3 menu, and it indicated that it was 390 inches, even though the car was floor level at the bottom floor, and the bottom floor car position parameter was set to 0.0 inches. I then started to do the ELGO relearn procedure, this was only a four stop elevator, and the top floor parameter position was around 590 inches. the setup went flawless, until i reached the 3rd floor. i set the position and was instructed to set up the 4th floor, but the car would not run up any further. it would run down, but not up. any way i ended up resetting the top floor position parameter to around 1100 inches, i was then able to redo the elgo learn procedure and all was fine. my question is there must be an easier way to install a new board if i have all the floor height info. this could get time consuming on a 20 stop elevator. I keep thinking that maybe i should have set the offset at the bottom floor to -390 to zero out the bottom floor. and then the other parameter setting would have worked. any one have any experience with this.
