10 Software Tach Fault– The speed feedback from the position encoder exceeded the speed reference
from the CPU by more than the value set by OSP or VEE adjustment parameters.
Loss of velocity encoder or tachometer signal.
 Defective velocity encoder or tachometer.
Poor tracking due to low system response.
T3 ONLY. Improper adjustment of REG tach scaling (T) pot.
 T3 ONLY. Defective REG card.
This error can be artificially induced by changing s-curve adjustments during car motion. MAKE
SURE S-CURVE ADJUSTMENTS ARE CHANGED ONLY WHILE THE CAR IS STOPPED.
OSP value can be increased no more than Governor trip speed

40 CRITICAL Software Tach Fault—The car was considered out of control after a software tach fault
(Error 10). See Parameter TVI.

52 Tach Fault Warning—Measured car speed was within 10 fpm of tripping a software tach fault (Error
10). Corrective measures MUST be taken if Error 52 occurs. Trip speed can be viewed with TVI
parameter.
T4 ONLY—Improper adjustment of Position Encoder scal ing—Parameter CPF
T4 ONLY—Improper adjustment of velocity encoder scal ing—SCR drive parameter
 Improper adjustment of Parameter DTD
Defective encoder (position or velocity) or tachometer
T4 ONLY—Loose governor rope at car hitch
Increase OSP parameter (SEE fault code 10)
