Westinghouse Controller
This is a weird one. Has anyone ever seen this Westinghouse Hydro controller (2BC-PHC)? The relay board and PLC Rack are all located on the cartop. This PLC looks exactly like the ones used in the Omega 1000 except the Eprom in the CPU is much smaller (2732). Would anyone have a manual or information on this controller?

GE Faunuc PLC was used by a lot of companies as well as IDEC and others. Looking I'd be suspicious that someone added a dispatching feature. They are a lot easier to program than adding relay after relay for the job. And this was in the time period where a lot of guys were doing this stuff in their garage and making money on upgrades. Like fire service security etc. to the original controller. I've never seen Circle W use a PLC, but I haven't seen everything. LOL..

Hey Broke, I've never seen a Westinghouse using a PLC either. This is a 2 Stop simplex hydro that uses this PLC to run the whole thing. The Westinghouse print (2BC-PHC) shows the PLC control clearly as the brains for the unit. I'm guessing they only did these for a short time. Probably just before the MPH controller.

San Francisco has only one on Geary St. that was a bank. Kinda strange to open machine room controller and only see a linestarter and terminal strips! Very limited production around late 80's.

I have 1 on my route now (had 2 for a while), they are called PHC's.
