Had drive go out on job last week and received new one yesterday. Changed it out with new one from spares after change out I am able to run up no problem and down only allows a few ft at a time. Once I get close to bottom terminal it will run down w/o cutting out w 83 fault. Does anyone have any more info on these drives and or controllers. I have an installation manual but am sure an adjusters manual would have necessary info. Thanks a lot and work safe.

83 is position lost, is this on test or normal? did you do a shaft setup on new drive, did you put correct Parameters in, which type did you install V3F or KDL?

Yes I changed parameters 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, 6-78, 6-79 and then saved those settings with 6-99=1. Then upon attempting to do a set up drive it wouldn't accept parameter 5-2-1. I'm going back out this morning so I will advise. Also I put in a V3F

You didn't mention if you had set up your loadweigher device
Check also that 1-95 hasn't defaulted to wrong setting.
I presume you are aware that you must be switched to RDF to enable shaft set-up (5-2-1). Position car just below bottom floor level with 61U and 30 led's lit and 61N dark,making sure that your safety input led lights when you switch over from RDF to normal to start set-up drive. You'll get there in the end.

Sometimes helps to do the shaft setup by giving the car a start with a very short stab of the brake release, but you'll prob find it will run ok after the shaft setup!
