Saw a tiller line with HALL CALLS before!!! the build people turned the sheaves and tiller line controller 90 degrees so that one side of the rope was outside the hoistway. So as long as the doors were closed and you knew what way to pull the rope you could look around the corner and call the car to yourself. Of course this led to some tug of wars with people on several floors all trying to pull the at the same time. Fat guy won!!!!
