I am hoping that someone can assist me with a problem with initial start up. Gen 2 not regen drive. Mcb 3. The initial calibration procedure, we get a learn abort encoder error. However we cannot find any reason. Encoder has been swapped, Mcb 3 swapped, drive swapped. Brake removed from motor to make sure no interference.

Motor moves slightly, couple of attempts, another message that comes up, SYS message lost.
anything please.

don't know if this is relevant, had a similar problem on a Montgomery with a Baldor Drive. Had to change the number of Motor Windings from 4 to 6 in the Motor Parameters.

The "Sys: Message lost" normaly generates some errors in the event log? Have you checked the encoder parameters under Setup/Contract?
Maybe try to default the eeprom and re enter the parameters?
