Hey all,

I have a Kone KCM831 on my route, it's the only one i have and although i have the installer datasheets and error codes, i cant find any information on this displaying on the COP.

After there was a service crew in the building changing the doors for a couple days, when the threw the power back on the front COP was displaying "dd" on the position indicator. Tried resetting the board behind the COP, but to no avail. The rear COP works fine, and the front one will still open the rear door and place calls to rear door landings (this is a front and back entrance) but wont take calls or respond at all to anythimg front-car-related.

Im stumped. All the connections are plugged in, it just says "dd" and that's it.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

it has been a while but as I recall there is a parameter to change the COP's from selective to non-selective. I believe parameter 1_93 should be 0 for both sides to operate. If it 1 then it will operate as you describe. Not sure what DD is.

one other thought, if any new Boards were added you need to do a LON Download.

The cop needs to be configured. dd appears when you configure the buttons on the cop to the mul board. Or you may have a bad mul board inside the cop. Try holding in door open button see if it changes to 01?

Hopefully it's just a parameter that's defaulted as John Jay says.
If not you may also need a configuration key switch to configure COP and instructions on how to do it.
