Recently started recalling to alternate recall floor on phase 1 fire service with no smokes in alarm. Reset with key switch. No faults. Happened intermittently(every day or so). We replaced the option board, still going on phase 1 alternate recall. Replaced Adon2 board. Now randomly going on phase 1 to main recall floor. Yesterday we put ground side of smoke wires on a clean ground becouse the ground feeding the option boards 80k ohms to ground. No recalls yet but has only been a few hours. Any ideas?

Replace the floor controller board for that floor,had a car that would be on phase 1 every morning.replaced Fcb and option board and problem went away

Bad connections on the plugs can do this. Seen several bad connectors cause intermittent problems. Have to look closely to find them.

I think we got it! Replaced the power supply that feeds the option boards. 2 days no recall. So now just wait for the next glitch with these finicky things.

If it doesn't start checking connectors...

For intermittent problems on KCMs I start with detailing the controller connections. Especially pulling each wire on the non- screw terminal type plugs, a lot of times a wire will pull right out. Guys will probe the connectors at the exposed metal on the clip that keeps the terminal in the plug. You can carefully take out the terminal and repair it or just replace the whole connector with screw terminals.
