i put the escalator on inspection,removed a step, replaced the demarc lights ,put step back in ,switch back to run, computer says still on inspection, ohmed out switches,good ,cleared all errors. mainlined it , wont come off inspection,any ideas welcome

Some of our Schindler TXR5 stuff will do that sometimes, cheap switches and connectors.

Check the signals from the inspection switches right at the CPU board in the controller. Are they right? Kone put ferrules on the field wires, which prevents the terminal spring clip retainers from getting a good bite on the field wires. They fall out if you so much as breathe on them. This is also something to look at on the top+ bottom ESE boards, which have the same inherrent weakness. Also check the center-line position of the inspection keyswitches. The "50" should be hot when the keyswitches are centered. Those sh*t azz inspection microswitches are always cracking.(If you have the mortise style ones)
