Working on an Otis door controller It's blue box with big board in it that lps , uls, and ups encoders plug into it. I changed one of the encoders and now I keep getting encoder mismatch and a SD on the scrolling message on door controller board. Does any one have a manual for this door controller and any advice on what happened ?

If it's the i control the manual is on the unitec website

Unitec told me they cannot provide that I have pics but not sure how to show them on this forum.

It is an I motion.

If you go to the unitec site and look under technical documents, the i motion manual is there.

As people have said its an I motion, do a learn run on it but make sure your belt tension does not allow it to slip when reaches fully open or closed during the learn run or this will give you an encoder mismatch fault. Usually encored mismatch faults are given when somebody blocks the doors during nudge closing. I have twenty of these in a hotel that the housekeepers love to.block the doors with their carts. To clear press the up arrow once and the display changes to clear and restart or somesuch, press enter and your good to go.

It's not saving parameters in the set up mode. I hit enter on type. Then I change from single slide right to single slide left then I hit enter again. Then it creates tables then says DN or IN. Then when I go back into set up it says single slide right. When I do a learn run I get wrong direction

put in your changes and go to the reset menu and reset operator. parameter changes don't take affect or get stored till reset either with service tool or keypad. (see my post on imotion on 5-23-17 for your encoder fault issue.) logic does not apply on this door operator. mechanical adjustments must be correct or
random encoder faults will occur

Check the optical sensor gaps on the sheave. If they aren't close enough you can get those faults too.

ok. Still having trouble here. I get it to save single slide left sometimes. Doin a reset doesn't work ... I just have to keep hitting enter after I change to left hand like 20 times. I can get it to learn run once every like 20 tries properly. It completes the learn then when I put the e stop back to normal with car still on inspection the doors immediately try to open and I get shut down. When I reset the shut down it kicks my parameters back to single slide right every time. What is goin on with this thing.

Even when it stays on the set up mode parameters list after I change to left hand and allows me to continue to the rest of parameters as soon as I change hall door finish it reverts back to right hand after creating table link

I just got a new board from Unitec. They actually sent it in the blue box .. but I just wanna swap boards which should be easier .. there's no instructions with this but there are a bunch of jumpers in a separate bag .. does any one know if I can just swap these boards or will I run into problems ?

Ok new I motion board worked great. But there is no led screen on the board. All programming must be done with service tool.. so any one who has to change this board make sure u have service tool.
