We are shortening belts on an Otis under-slung car. Looking for some guidance to safely hang car. Thanks Dan smile

Its been a few years but...... I believe we used rail dogs, attached a chain fall to each rail dog, used holes that were at the top of the cab and put a clevis through those holes and attatched then to the chain falls and picked straight up. Even though the car top doesn't seem two strong remember the safeties are on top of the car so you wont damage anything picking it up this way. Set the blocking devise and trip the governer for good measure. Let the good times roll.
