I am looking for info on historic power operated pull rope (shipper rope) elevators (not hand powered elevators where muscle power is the only power source).

My questions are:
1. Has anyone here seen, or heard from someone else that has seen a functional shipper rope elevator (either recently, or a long time ago, and even if you know it no longer exists)?

2. If so, what states/provinces/countries have you seen/heard of them in (including elevators known to no longer exist), and when did you last see/hear about one in that state/province/country?

3. From my research, some regions have elevator codes that still allow them to operate, in some regions most have had to be converted to other types of operation, or decommissioned/removed due to codes, and in some regions all have had to be converted to other types of operation, or decommissioned/removed due to codes. I could be wrong about this detail, but it is worth noting that from my research, the A17.3 code appears to prohibit shipper rope operation. If a region uses the A17.3 code (without modifications, applying to most or all existing elevators), this likely means most/all functional examples of shipper rope elevators are gone in this region. My question is, if you know, what are the codes on shipper rope operation in different states/provinces/countries (or parts of states/provinces/countries if code is not uniform across a state/province/country)? If you know what the code was in the past, but don't know what the code is today, I would still be interested in information.

I am most interested in information related to Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, but am curious to hear any information regarding any place in the world, even outside of North America.
