Hello guys, after successfully performing traction loss test on Schindler MRL , we rebooted the controller by hitting the reset button and the screen got stuck with rotating slash and won't load up the menu ,can run and can error leds are blinking fast.
Another tip on this situation is to follow the instructions on the LDU cover as if you were going to PEBO the car up. Since it doesn't need the CAN bus for this often it will allow your screen to come up. Then go in and set 105 to on. This puts you in install mode. Power down, restore unit to normal operation ie turning off PEBO procedure. Try rebooting. On install it doesn't need the CANCNA on the car. But...it does need the drive. So if it still doesn't come up more than likely that CANIVF board on the drive is the issue. Unless I am mistaken Schindler will not sell you just that board. But they will repair your drive. It isn't cheap but as they say "it is what it is". Most repair shops do not have the means to do much more than a power up, so it has been worth the cost in my experience given no other alternatives.
An update,i disconnected CAN and VF and start commissioning mode ,i got this message now BLCK ERR and the 4 buttons are not responsive so still cant get to main menu
IF you get a 40 status, theres a big procedure to reload the BOD file. I wouldn’t go that far just yet. What does the display show? Do it run on inspection from the run button?
I dont get status 40 and cant run on inspextion.the screens show BLCK ERR probably cause i disconnected VF and CAN otherwise will go back to rotating slash as per picture attached .
plug the can bus and vf plugs back in. When resetting the controller put everything back the way it was, and turn off the JHS switch and unplug the battery wires (red, white, black) AC-DC connector kind of up and to the left of the JHS. This should be like a hard reboot vs just pressing the reset button at the LDU. Let it sit for about 30 seconds before plugging them both back in.
