Have an issue with a Swift Futura 1998 controller.
Recently changed the Unico drive to a Magnatek HPV1000 but having 18 fault code only.
Fitted new MRC board, SMIC board and relays. Tested lift and after testing found fault 18 Intermittently occurring. Replaced MC, CEN and run auxiliary to eliminate them as faulty. Tested lift and still fault 18 still occurs.
We have SM input and MC Input up but BKC relay on MRC does not energise.
On a frame by frame review of the fault the inputs are the same when BKC does work and does not. The only difference is BKC does not energise. Every other input is the same.
Fault 18 points to a brake issue. On your screenshot, BK Voltage is 0 and no BK of course. Dragging or sluggish brake once warm? Does this unit even have a brake contact? IIRC, don’t these controllers utilize a Brake Board? I’m just going off of memory here. Check over the BK relay for worn contacts, broken wires at the NO/NC connections and coil. Do you have voltage at BK+ and BK- when the unit actually makes a run? Does it meet the required voltage and Amps as indicated on the prints? (Brake Lift Voltage? Brake Hold Voltage?)
