Is it possible to replace the harmonic operator on an Icon with a discreet operator like an MOVFR.
We can not find a replacement for 6300PA7 universal door board. The old one got water damage and is beyond repair. Anyone have any insight or ideas?

Those are just Tac32s right? You definitely can manually add discrete IOs for an MOVFR and change the door type parameter.
Or sell an LD-16 linear upgrade.

It is a Tac 20 controller with a uit. If you change the parameter to discrete door operator, don't you still need a software upgrade to allow the controller to send discrete signals for open and closed? Right now it sends the signal through serial.

No, you just need to add the IOs and make D12=2 (D13 for rear) If you have port/con7 or 8 available you need 6 IOs DO, DO1, DC, DCN, DOL, DCL. DO1 is a redundancy for door open. There’s just a N/O DO1 contact in series with the DO signal. Factory MOVFR used relays for DO, DO1, DC, and DCN but I’d just add 1 relay for DO1 to put its contact in series with the DO signal, then just use the active low outputs with P24 and input common to the MOVFR.

If you decided to go with any WITTUR door operator (AMD, SGV, LD-16, etc), make sure that the MIDI/SUPRA card includes a CAN bus adapter card. If that's the case, you can connect it to the ICON serially. If you wittur operator has a KONE board on it, you will either have to setup discrete, or replace the board with a straight WITTUR board (MIDI/SUPRA).

For the TAC 20 there’s another board that goes in the COP to convert the TAC20’s 485 comm to CAN for the Wittur CAN adapter board. And most likely will need a software update to communicate with the LD-16.
