Any idea what may have caused the gear wear shown in the photos, especially the edge between the teeth? This is ring gear from a HW basement set traction machine.

pedestal bearing on the side opposite the clipping could be worn enough to cock the gear relative to the worm shaft. Hang the car, reblue and see if pattern corrects. Maybe contact Titan Machine in New York to see if they have any thoughts on the subject.

Did I forget to land the cwts???
