Have a 188e replacement board back from repair where it was tested and worked fine in Simulator (2nd time). When I put it in my controller, no WD LED on 188e. They claim to have loaded generic sw in board so that when I got it back I could just load the job file. Can’t connect through IMS (guessing because no WD?) and when trying Hyperterminal I’m not able to set it up correctly on this laptop. See attached photos. Not sure what is going on with this but I’m not sure what is going on with this job. I’ve got 24vdc, 115vac & 3v battery is good on 188e board.
In the first pic put in an area code, any will work, then click okay. Select comm port of your adapter or native serial port would be 1, 38400 bps, 8, none, 1, flow control = Hardware Is this a KY14 board? There’s a major problem with the ones coming out right now with the WD coming on and staying on. I have a car down right now because I can’t get a board that works. You can load job & generic fine but WD comes on for a second then goes out 3 times then nothing.
So got the software loaded, but couldn’t do the hoistway scan & can’t run on inspection. SAFE was out on the IO map, but I jumped out the safety string and got SAFE up. Doors are closed, D26=1, car on automatic but won’t do hoistway scan. I was looking at the different screens in IMS and saw this “Safe to Run” is open, but can’t find anything that controls it or how to make it up or if it’s even my problem. See attached photo. Also getting selector faults but suspect it’s because I need to do hoistway scan? Don’t see anything else wrong. Going back here Monday morning, so looking for any ideas. Thanks
You definitely will need to be able to run on inspection before running a hoistway scan. Post a pic of your IO map and I’ll tell you what’s wrong. 8 pit ports, metered logic.
